LVMH Watch & Jewellery plans to launch more watches for womenDardenne, 38, has replaced Manishi Sanwal as general manager of LVMH Watch & Jewellery as the later moved on as MD of DFS India, another unit of LVMH. Dardenne, who has been with Tag Heuer since 2002 and has headed commercial operations in Japan and Korea since 2007, plans to take LVMH brands to more small cities to grow in the Indian market. Tag Heuer is currently available in 92 stores across 26 cities in the country, while Dior is available in 15 outlets. "We will use the F1 route to strengthen the (Tag Heuer) brand in India," Dardenne says. Tag Heuer was a sponsor of India's first Formula 1 Grand Prix held last October and the brand had launched limited edition watch for the Indian Grand Prix. The brand plans to extend its partnership with the racing event, Dardenne says. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is Tag Heuer's brand ambassador in India. "We have seen steady double digit growth in India over the years," says Dardenne, adding that several young first time buyers, including students who have just graduated, are coming into the brand.
