In a previous blog I went into considerable detail about my experiences as a start-up small business owner. I started out making hand made rustic furniture & handmade aprons that I sold at local festivals. I had a great time however the endeavor didn't pay the bills. :( This past year I thought I wanted to be an independent travel consultant, I still think that would be fun but I did a lot of research and that was as far as I got with it. Then I started up the Etsy shop, the most productive business venture to date, however I found that I didn't enjoy my crafty outlets when they carried stress & deadlines. So Stoney Creek Mercantile is now just a hobby. Next weekend, by the way, my shabby quilt berry baskets will be debuting at the State Road 38 Sale in Markleville! On to the topic at hand...Recent Developments! I haven't started doing CAD work yet, hopefully my new part time job position will workout perfectly in June!
