This is not what I had in mind for my shot of the day on the 18th. I was in the middle of playing around with composition and light with these glass beads and I got called away and never got back to it. So, the lighting isn't what I wanted, the comp is blah and so on, but its my shot of the...
I did get this desk in a trade on Craigslist for jewelry. Just so happy to have my new setup that this one makes me cringe!
Storage for head and eye pins. (Use these all the time!) I also have this little desk organizer for my pens, tools, glue, stamps, customs forms, etc.
Squirrely! And a handmade cross stitch "fierce". Some of my Etsy finds.
Mr. Spiffing's dad gave us his old kitchen cart after they remodeled. We brought it home on Christmas Eve, it's one of my fave xmas presents! I moved all of my power tools and a lot of my storage to this sucker. Mr. Spiffing is going to go to Home Depot for some MDF to replace the wine rack on...

Bead Paradise expands family business to Camas
18.05.12
Shane Woodward has a new passion: bling -- lots and lots of it.
Woodward recently opened Bead Paradise in downtown Camas. The store boasts an array of beads: glass, wood, water pearls, plus semi-precious stones and the fancier swarovski crystal.
So how did a former law-enforcement officer end up selling beads for a living? It all began 23 years ago, when Woodward's mother opened a bead shop up in Long Beach.
Handing over the business to Woodward seemed like the obvious choice for the family. So, he took over six months ago -- after a crash course on beads.
"I was hesitant at first. I didn't know if that was something I wanted to do," the Camas resident admitted. "But we had an opportunity for a family business and an opportunity for my wife to stay at home for the kids."
Woodward opened the store in Camas in September and another in Palmdale, Calif., in November, to go along with the Long Beach store.
I’m planning on embarking on a new journey, a journey towards a new hobby. What hobby is that? Bead jewelry making. I have yet to start on it. I don’t even know when I’ll be able to start! But this early, I am already starting to stock up on various supplies.
One supply I have stocked up on is lucite beads in shades of orange and red. Why did I choose those colors? Well, I just thought the colors were so rich and vibrant and would definitely add an extra splash of refreshing colors to whatever design I come up with.
Actually, the store where I bought the beads had a whole assortment of equally vibrant colors like blue, green, yellow, purple and of course my favorite, pink! Have you ever seen those striped hard candies which are often in red and white? The beads look like that except that they are shaped like a tiny ball. Pretty neat, huh?
