I read in the paper that Norwich is looking to develop its tourism industry by looking into its past. I find that personally very exciting as I really do like history. I just hope that people  will really understand and participate in all that can become available and develop for an industry. Local restaurants can add dishes popular during the 300+ years of area history and immigration. As an example what was a popular dish of the French-Canadians that settled in Taftville?  

From its founding,  Norwich residents have set aside greens, parks, parades and  gardens for its future residents. How many of us know the stories behind those gifts to the city? When we hear the stories are there any funny tales to be told that people will remember?

What plants were popular when your house was built?  Is there a place that is interested in developing the seedlings and plants of native and imported plants by historic time period? For development and sale?  The Leffingwell House Museum has begun such a project in its raised bed area for educational purposes only.

Hemp jewelry is made of knot of hemp twine. It includes bracelets, necklace and anklets. It is considered to be very durable and ‘in fashion’. The article tries to provide guidelines to make fishbone design. To make fishbone hemp jewelry , it is important to know the art of macramé. 

To make fishbone hemp jewelry, following steps have to be used:

Step one: The hemp twine is taken. The size of the cord depends on type of hemp jewelry to be made like necklace, bracelet, chokers or anklets.

Step two: Now three long cords are taken and folded in half. All the loops are secured by tying the hemp string with a knot. Forth and last string should be included in the chord. Seven cords should be hanging below the knots.

Step three: Square knot is made by taking two knotting strings. The square knots should wrap the other cords. These strings have to be left hanging on sides. The first knotting cord is prepared.
